    SELECTED EXAMPLES OF STRATEGIC IMPACT

    RESULTS
    pngkey.com-trust-png-1397691.png
    Actions:
    • Conducted a rapid assessment of team skills and capabilities to identify strengths, gaps, and misalignments.
    • Re-evaluated and redefined roles to ensure every position was aligned with business needs and future growth.
    • Engaged and collaborated with strategic partners to fill expertise gaps, drive key initiatives, and accelerate product delivery timelines.
    Results:
    • Established a clear alignment of roles with business objectives, improving team efficiency and accountability.
    • Leveraged and invested in partnerships with strategic vendors, resulting in faster execution of critical initiatives.
    • Positioned the organization to support growth plans and reduced time to market for key products, driving measurable business outcomes.
Challenge: When I first tool on the role of CIO/CTO, the organization lacked a clear alignment between skills, roles, and strategic objectives. There were gaps in expertise, some roles were misaligned with key priorities, and partnerships necessary to support growth and accelerate time to market were either undeveloped or ineffective.
    pngkey.com-trust-png-1397691.png
    Actions:
    • Task Optimization: Drove the effort to rapidly understand the new pricing model and its impact on task usage.
    • Usage Reduction: Focused on optimizing existing integrations to reduce task consumption efficiently, avoiding immediate overage costs.
    Results:
    • Massive Task Reduction: Achieved a 97% reduction in task usage, significantly mitigating the risk of overage charges.
    • Operational Continuity: Enabled the company to consider staying with Workato, avoiding the disruptive and costly process of rebuilding all integrations.
    • Prevented Major Business Impact: The swift actions taken saved the company from a potential crisis that could have severely impacted operations, systems, and finances.
Challenge: The company relied on Workato as middleware to manage integrations between systems, ensuring seamless functionality. However,  Workato announced a shift from a recipe-based pricing model to a usage-based model centered on tasks. This change posed a significant challenge, as the company had utilized 82 million tasks this year, far exceeding Workato’s new threshold of 2.5 million tasks before overage costs would apply. The company faced a critical decision: drastically reduce task usage or explore alternative solutions, which would require rebuilding all integrations and disrupt operations, with substantial financial and operational impact.
    pngkey.com-trust-png-1397691.png
    Actions:
Recommendation to Develop a Centralized Data Platform: Based on the identified challenges, I sponsored an initiative to create a data lakehouse. The goal was to enable seamless access to data for researchers, analysts, business owners, data scientists, and external customers, empowering data-driven decision making and innovation.
    Results:
Unified Data Platform: The new DataBricks lakehouse eliminated data silos, enabling cross-departmental access and integration.
Enhanced Analytical Capabilities: Provided tools and training to facilitate advanced analytics, business intelligence, and maching learning.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Empowered stakeholders with actionable insights, driving better decision making and supporting growth objectives.
Scalable and Future Proof Infrastructure: Eastablished a solid foundation to incorporate furture data sources and monetize the organization's data effectively.
Challenge: The organization faced significant inefficiencies due to data silos, minimal integration between data sources, and limited analytical capabilities. Existing data management practices lacked the infrastructure to support advanced analytics, business intelligence, or machine learning. Without a unified data platform, cross-functional teams struggled to access the data needed to make informed decisions, hindering growth, and operational efficiency.
    pngkey.com-trust-png-1397691.png
Actions: Created council with 30 senior stakeholders from all organizations to develop commitment to business process transformation and selected Endurance SVP as business owner. Extracted business logic to create process "guardrails" and then addressed business specific anomalies.
Results: Resolved all SEC concerns, mitigated significant potential fines, and grew market/investor confidence.
Challenge: Lack of consistency in subscriber number count methodology across multiple companies and 250 brands - resulting in business-impacting SEC investigation.
    pngwing.com.png
Actions: Initiated 1st enterprise-wide change advisory board process. Built consensus for unified change management processes across multiple acquired organizations. Built rational/logical approaches to prioritize risk.
Results: Eliminated frequent downtime/outages due to improperly vetted changes going into production - improving IT to business alignment, and enabling visibility into all system changes while balancing tradeoffs between speed and risk.
Challenge: Absence of consistent change management processes resulting in unplanned outages.
    vippng.com-waiting-icon-png-2178567.png
Actions: Spearheaded centralized IT intake process to clarify all new IT work and ensure alignment with overall enterprise objectives and ROI. Directed coordination of work across 5 VP-led teams.
Results: Delivered major increase in IT maturity by providing a full view of project and request pipeline that enhanced planning and budgeting, optimizing resource capacity as work is planned, removing non-value added work and supporting roadmap development to incorporate strategic projects.
Challenge: Unclear IT project intake and vetting process.
    pngaaa.com-5093051.png
Actions: Developed a comprehensive infographic to clarify onboarding of all new personnel - from C-level executives to "in-the-trenches" resources.
Results: Streamlined onboarding process and provided end-to-end transparency on complex IT and enterprise landscape. Provide all employees with an understanding of the customer journey.
Challenge: Lengthy onboarding across complex business and IT ecosystems.
    data-lake.png
Actions: Led IT and engineering teams in creation of data lake, built data lake operating model, and developed integration strategies with data warehouse.
Results: Transformed data management infrastructure to support revitalized focus on analytics, leveraging both structured and unstructured data.
Challenge: Under-utilization of large amounts of data.
    pngwing.com (1).png
Actions: Partnered with senior leadership to redesign and relaunch initiative. Adjusted structure, approach, budget and resourcing.
Results: Created reliable, predictable, on-time / on-budget initiative.
Challenge: Product releases for Master Data Management program delivered unreliably in timing and quality.
